Description This is for a fully working Voice of Music model 740 stereo reel to reel tape deck. It supports 3 speeds, and has a built in amplifier
. It has two green eye tubes for recording level indicators.
It uses VM's unusual two pin speaker jacks, but there is also a pair of standard RCA jacks that can be used as speaker outputs (they're connected in parallel with the speaker outputs). You can also connect it to the line input of an external amplifier, or receiver by using the "external amplifier" outputs.
The stereo audio inputs are via the microphone sockets. If you wish to record from a regular line level source, you have to insert the 1/4 phone plugs half way. To use microphones, you insert the plugs fully. Condition
It's in good working condition and has clearly not been used heavily.
The mechanics have been thoroughly cleaned, lubricated, and all rubber belts have been replaced.
The electronics have been checked over, and repaired where needed. All tubes have been tested, and replaced as needed. In the box You will receive the tape deck shown plus power cable.
