Here for sale iare parts from an Orvis Battenkill aluminum reel seat that were removed from a 1950-ish Orvis bamboo fly rod. Included are the barrel, the threaded locking band and the original end cap.
Neither the original hood nor the rear cork check are included.
There is a hole in the threaded barrel where the pin used to be located. The collar threads as it is supposed to over the barrel. The old pin hole does not impede the locking band's functioning properly.
The original end cap or end plug has marks from someone using pliers to twist or remove the part from the rod. A replacement plug is included. I think the replacement is Landmark or Struble.
There are some old glue remnants on the interior parts shown in the photos.
