VINTAGE Up for sale is a rare Orvis 100 Spinning Reel, with a serial number , in VERY GOOD CONDITION, Made in Italy. All parts function as they should except for the parts noted below. The reel casts and retrieves line properly, the anti-reverse lever works well, the drag works, the reel spins freely, the bail works properly, snapping shut every time, and the handle reels well. There is some surface wear on the rotating head, on the edges of the frame, on the handle, the leg, and the foot. The reel makes noise as the rotating head turns. Every Orvis reel that I have make the same noise, so I am guessing that it was a production issue and not an issue with damaged parts. The noise is not annoying or a sign of an issue, it is just a lite sound of metal brushing metal. Please view photos to asses condition for yourself.
