For sale is a vintage Hardy Marquis (70s-80s) with a matched reel case and a spare spool (with a cap). All in the meticulous conditions. 3.75" diameter, 2 screw drum release, smooth alloy foot that goes with any contemporary reel seats, rear tension, twin checks, left or right wind, reversible nickel silver line guard, overall excellent working order, good strong loud check, tight with no slackness, most paint is intact with only very very light normal wear as can be seen. Mechanically 100% perfect. Greased well. Both spools have fair amounts of backing lines. Ready to fish! This would be perfect for a short and light Spey rods such as 4wt 11ft or 5wt 12ft. With a single hand rod, a 7wt rod would be a perfect match though one may find 6wt or 8wt would be a good match as well. Currently in a right hand wind. But it's easy to convert to left wind.
