Vintage Garcia Mitchell 624 Saltwater Reel. Fishing, Bait Casting

Well cared for, here is the Garcia Mitchell model 624 saltwater fishing reel. These reels were made in France are of top quality. This reel was made to take approximately 600m of 20lb line. Originally it would have been used with rods that felt like a washing pole for 'BIG GAME' or smaller hard fighting fish. The reel was an incredible work horse with 3:1retrieve. Garcia Mitchell advertised this reel as an all-round, heavy-duty reel for surf casting, trolling, pier and boat fishing. The 624 was / is an excellent reel. It will last forever with minimal maintenance, although you should remember to slacken the drag at the end of every trip, otherwise you'll be replacing drag washers very frequently. And always rinse the reel in fresh water after as alt water trip to stop salt corrosion and damage. It's big wide spool, slow retrieve with power for big fish.
This reel shows signs of usage but is still in very good condition and still performs as intended. Anti-reverse works very well, clicker is working, free spool and adjustments work well and the drag is working also.
