Vintage Garcia Mitchell 408 High Speed Ball Spinning Reel Made in

Garcia Mitchell 408 ultra light high speed spinning reel made in France featuring a roller bearing supported rotor, automatic bail release and an all metal gear case making it very strong and durable. Very smooth on cast and retrieve, the bail snaps back after each cast and the drag function is very smooth with click anti-reverse, the serial # is 969858. This is a high quality fresh water work horse a very solid reel that will not let you down. Exceptional mechanical condition, very little wear on the gears and internal parts, excellent exterior condition with very minor scuffs from normal use, paint and chrome parts are bright and clean, one spot under the foot has paint loss from age, includes a line take up arbor for the spool. The old grease was cleaned and fresh grease applied to the gears and spool shaft, rotor bearings were cleaned and oiled, the spool was disassembled and cleaned.
