Vintage Fly Reel Seat Adapter Hardy and others.  If you have a vintage fly reel with an older style reel seat that you'd like to fish you probably know the reel seat may not compatible with modern rods.  I made this adapter so I could fish my vintage reels on all my rods without modifying my reel's seat or rod.  The adapter is made of brass to standard reel seat dimensions and will accommodate vintage reels that have seats that are up to 4 inches long and 5/8" wide.  I'll include the 2 allen keys needed to attach the adapter and a set of spare screws.  I've mounted this adapter on several of my rods including Scott, Winston, Burkheimer, Meiser, Thomas and Thomas and it worked on all of them.  The only thing I would point out is if you have a rod where the cork handle is very large in diameter by the reel seat (greater than 1 3/8" in diameter) it will not work.  One of the pictures shows the adapter on my Meiser rod that has a large flare on the cork handle and the adapter just fits.  I understand the cost is high but these are custom CNC machined in small batches with very little margin.
