Please check out my other e b a y fine items for sale. I will consider combining items for a special price. All items are clean and come from a smoke-free environment. What we have here is a fabulous old timer conventional reel that is perhaps over 100 years old. I believe this to have been either manufactured by MONTAGUE or Pflueger during the early 1900’s, no doubt a “trade reel” as it doesn’t bear any identification other than the number 250 (line capacity) inscribed on the bottom of the rod plate. The reel shows a repaired crack in the tail plate and a small 5/8" missing reinforcing metal ring piece at the top/side of the head plate. This is a very nice reel that I believe is made from German Silver with a black rubber tail plate and a black rubber inset on the head plate.  This conventional reel has metal reinforcing rings, a “clicker,” and a black wood handle knob that turns freely. It is in VG condition for its age and use, very clean , lubricated, and reels and spins very smoothly. It has deveoped a brass patina throughout. It measures 3” in diameter, 2 5/8” across the side plates, and weighs 14.4 oz . This reel makes for a fine collectible or display item, although one could fish with it now! S&H is via economy mail 2 lb. rate.
