Vintage Abu Ambassadeur No. 5000 Four Screw Baitcasting Reel

This is an Abu (pre Garcia)Ambassadeur No. 5000 baitcasting reel. This one is known as the four screw model. It is in great condition but it does have some boat rash, as seen in the pictures. It is in great condition mechanically. Everything works well. It has a clicker to alert you when a fish is taking line. The reel foot number is 416344. It has a smooth star drag and an anti reverse feature. The line guide rides smoothly on the nickel silver guide rod. It comes with the original leather case, the tool, and an insert that has two straps for holding the tool and perhaps a small vial of oil or spare parts. What you see in the pictures is what comes with the reel.
