Split bamboo fishing rod by Harrocks & Ibbotson with reel

Rod & Reel- Offered is a vintage split bamboo fishing rod & reel.  Rod is  one piece 66" long OA with decal reading Harrocks-Ibbotson Co. New York, signed Peconis.  Rod has 4 guides, 1st & last ones are missing the eyelets.  Bamboo & windings are in very good condition, uncleaned in "as found" condition.  The hex. bamboo is over 9/16" wide at the shaft, a very heavy bamboo.  The rod finish is intact showing some alligatoring. Wood handles are good.  The reel has no markings other than on the underside of the mounting plate which is embossed H-I inside a triangle logo & Italy.  Reel has composite or plastic sides & seems to function ok with good braking action.  A nice heavy unit. Order will be shipped in two separate packages  as the reel does not accommodate the rod packaging, thus the handling charge which is to cover reel shipping.
