Starting with the ever popular Curado low profile reel, Shimano has upped the ante by adding a Digitally Controlled(DC) braking system designed to reduce or eliminate backlash while maximizing casting distance and accuracy. The Curado line of reels has long been known as a durable workhorse for anglers of all levels. But adding the Digital Control on braking is going to up everyone's game and make fishing that much more enjoyable (just in case there was someone not already enjoying it enough). And the $250 price tag makes it a value many may find hard to resist.
