Specifications Up for sale is your opportunity to purchase a fully fuctioning Roberts Reel To Reel Tape Player & Recorder, Model Number 778X . The unit powers up, loads a tape and plays the tape in the forward mode,  both play modes are functional,  f ast forward and rewind both work as they should, the tape counter does increment as it should, we suspect the belt would need to be replaced eventually. With some minor issues have been addressed the buyer having a qualified tech go over this unit this unit to check it over,  and bring anything perhaps thats not within factory specfications back to factory settings. This unit will be a great addition to your audio room . So with that said  we are selling this unit as used unit “AS IS” with no guarantees or warranties implied,  A unit that may need to be serviced by a qualified technician, to be a fully operational unit as it left the factory. This sale is for a nice classic Roberts 778X Reel to Reel Tape Recorder unit. The brief bit of testing we could do consisted of checking for functionality & playback - The buttons, and playback lights are as described above and shown in the pictures. The top and bottom panels are in good shape, except for a few nicks (see pictures, they does not affect functionality.) The faceplate has a few scratches. Otherwise the unit is in pretty good condition for something that is 40 plus years old :) Please take a close look at all the actual pictures of this unit.
