Vintage C.A.P. Half Bail Fishing Reel. The CAP half bail was previous to the Mitchell/CAP Model 304, it was made in France, and I believe this particular reel was made from 1946/47? It has the rare birdcage style spool, external rotor balance, anti reverse, and knurled metal handle knob. I recently got this from an estate sale, and when I purchased it, the bail pickup spring was broken, leaving the bail inoperable. I managed to find a new old stock CAP bail pickup spring, and used it to restore this old relic back to usable condition. I’ve also serviced the reel with new grease and oil. Bail and anti-reverse work as they should, and it reels smoothly. The paint has rubbed off in places, but that’s to be expected in a reel of this age. This rare old CAP is ready to either be fished, or to be added to your antique fishing gear collection. Most of my fishing gear is used and is therefore being sold "as is" and "in found" condition. Please see photos for condition. 👉🏻 Make sure to check out my other listings for more vintage/antique/modern fishing gear, and don’t forget to add me to your favorite sellers list, as I will be listing more reels, tackle, and lures in the coming weeks. Yes, I combine shipping. Just let me know you’ve purchased more than one item BEFORE you pay, so I can update your invoice.
