Pro Gear Pacifica 3500 Made In The USA The American made Pro Gear Reels are classic. They are basically glorified Penn reels with numerous interchangable parts. They've been described as "Tanks" or "Work Horses," and I couldn't agree more. I still have several Pro Gears in my arsenal for fishing lighter lines. This is a Pacifica 3500, and you don't see this reel come up for sale very often. It's the same width as a 545 but larger all around, although it has similar 4/0 gears. This reel was just serviced by the best Reel Service Tech in Orange County, California. He installed a 5-Stack of Carbon Drags and re-greased every moving part with the appropriate grease thickness. He also shimmed the gear sleeve to alleviate the handle from moving back and forth, resulting in a much smoother retrieve. I added the handle & knob, the e-lever, and the rod clamp. There is definitely some boat rash on this reel. Please see the pictures, as I will try to show any imperfections. It's got a decent freespool and a loud, durable clicker. It's got a ton of drag. This reel turned out great. It's definitely a very cool setup. If you look past the way it got treated in the past and embrace the functionality of today, you will kill a lot of fish for years to come.
