Pro Gear 541 Reel Made In The USA
The American Made Pro Gear Reels are Classic. They are basically glorified Penn Reels with numerous interchangable parts. They've been described as "Tanks" or "Work Horses," and I couldn't agree more. I still have several Pro Gears in my arsenal for fishing lighter lines. This 541 was incomplete when I acquired it. It now has new gears, a new yoke, a new bridge plate, and a fairly rare 5-Stack of Carbon Drags. It was just re-assembled and serviced by the best Reel Service Tech in Orange County, California. He also re-greased every moving part with the appropriate grease thickness required. I added the new rod clamp & hardware, along with the new aluminum E-Lever. This version of the 541 has a clicker, and it's loud & durable. It also has an excellent freespool. There is some boat rash on this reel. Please see pics, as I will try to show any scratches or dings. There is also some fading of the anodization on the spool. Other than that, this reel is in excellent working order with tons of drag for a reel this size. It's like having a Penn 500 in size & Gear Ratio, but it has the gears and drags of a Penn 113H. Like I said before, It's a "Tank!"
