Penn Squidder 140 w/ Upgraded Reel Deal 2 Speed Transmission This item was made in the 1950's and turned most single speed Jigmaster and smaller reels into a blazing fast 9:1 gear ratio monster. The only transmission that allowed a fisherman to go from lo to high gear, a great collector's item. Very nice looking reel with some light wear / boat rash from use.
Functions normally, smooth transition to 2nd gear and back.
Completely disassembled, cleaned and regreased.
I have included the original black bakelite synchronized spool with "christmas"(red, white and green) color braid line for collectors
Upgraded the spool to newer aluminum instead of the red plastic bakelite spool in the parts pictures. and included an original reel clamp.
If you want the red plastic spool instead of the aluminum just let me know.
I have also replaced the star tooth washers that go between the crank plate and transmission mount with nylon washers so that the reel plate doesn't get ruined.
These star tooth washers tend to dig into the plate and leave lasting marks around the screw holes for the bridge. I have included the original washers if someone decides to fish this as they are necessary to prevent the mount from moving during heavy fishing. If you are a collector going to display it then do nothing.
