Mostly Working Vintage Akai 4000DS 4-Track Stereo 7" Reel to Reel Tape Recorder The item up for sale is
not tested for functionality as we do not have the capability to test;
Unit has been inspected and the results are as follows. Intended for
Reuse or Repair/Refurbishment, not for Recycling or Disposal " Mostly Working Vintage Akai 4000DS 4-Track Stereo 7" Reel to Reel Tape Recorder ." The item is in C) Used, Good cosmetic condition. For cosmetic condition, please refer to the Product Grading System - Below. All ports and connectors are in good cosmetic condition. There are scuffs and scratches from normal use and minor cosmetic damage around the device on the edges of the device. I was able to power on the device with the attached power cord. The Backlights and Record light work as intended. The Vu Meters move randomly all over the place. I was able to test the device to play from the input on the back of the device. I was able to test the Reel motors to work as intended. I was unable to get clear sound from an in-house tape reel. I was unable to record onto an in-house tape reel. There are no Reel Stoppers included.
The controls on the device work as intended.
The headphone port is tested to work. The mic ports are untested. No further testing could be completed due to lack of knowledge and/or resources. The device is being sold for repair, refurbishment or reuse by the buyer. It is not intended for recycling or disposal. No Reel Holders/Stoppers or other accessories included.
