Kudelski Nagra IV-D Reel-to-Reel Tape recorder

This is a single-track tape recorder.  There are two inputs for dynamic microphones each with its own level control, and a line input.  The inputs are mixed and recorded on the single track.  It can operate at 3.75, 7.5 and 15 inches per second with 1/4 inch tape on reels up to 7 inches, larger reels can be used with the appropriate accessory (not included).  A preamplifier module is provided that can be used to convert one of the microphone channels for a T-Power microphone.  It is in excellent condition and has just been refurbished with a new pinchwheel and bearing.  The mechanism has been adjusted and lubricated.  The electronics have been calibrated to factory specifications.  This work was done at a cost of $550.  The Line Input and Output connectors have been changed to BNC for improved compatibility with other equipment and the Line Input and Output gain can be locked.  Otherwise the recorder is original.  An external power supply is included.  The recorder also runs on 12 D-cells, not included.  Five 3M 807 7-inch reels of tape are included.  Two are in sealed manufacturer's boxes and three have some material recorded.  More tapes are available, see other listings for this seller.  A shoulder strap, a 5-inch and two 7-inch take-up reels, documentation, Instruction Manual and Service Manual are included.  Spare parts consist of tape speed indicator, assorted connectors and lid latch.
