Good-to-Excellent...your mileage may vary. We are in the Los Angeles area and have St. Augustine grass. On our first try, even at the lowest setting, almost nothing happened. Turns out, our gardeners (whom we decided to only keep for our front yard while we took over the back yard) had been cutting our lawn way too short, so we had to let the lawn grow out some before this little mower would work. Our back lawn looks so much better than our front now. The grass is a bit longer than we're used to seeing, but it's lush and green (in spite of quite a few weeds mixed in right now), and it's soft under our bare feet. The mower itself works just as advertised. I love that it's nearly silent and the only 'fumes' you get are the lovely smell of freshly cut grass! On my first couple of tries, I found it a bit hard to steer/turn sharp corners, but I've gotten better at that. Going in a straight line is very easy to push. The mower won't get into tight corners (not sure any mowers can, really). The first time trying this mower, it was very hard to push. My neighbor said I needed to adjust the handle lower. After that, pushing was very easy. Machine was easy to put together. I don’t recommend this if your lawn is large. Thankfully I have a small yard, because it’s hot work. The mower cuts decently, but seems to cut better if your lawn is nice and thick, otherwise, it just skims over. I’m sad it says to not wash the mower down after using, but recommends dry brushing. This is my first manual push mower and it is a breeze to use. Thicker grass can be slightly difficult. I have been using it now for a month (~4 cuts). Overall, this mower is very good. If your yard has a lot of longer weeds, the mower doesn't cut them very well on the first cut (this also depends on the type of weed). I had to use a trimmer/weed wacker on them the 1st time. After the first cut with the mower, it is definitely cutting better. You may need to make a couple passes if your grass is longer. If your yard has slopes, you may need to adjust the blade height so you don't get stuck. Very easy to use; much lighter than my old electric mower and no cord to mess with. As others have noted, it can't cut grass that is too long, so I'm holding onto the electric mower just in case... Unfortunately, the assembly instructions weren't as well designed as the mower itself. It's helpful to have a 2nd person to hold the two parts of the handle steady while you thread the bolt through the holes. And the instructions don't tell you to fit the head of the bolt into the hole so that you can fully tighten the nut. Runs great! Good workout. 16 Apr 19

This is the second push mower that I have owned. My first one I gave away after moving to an area where there was no yard work. I like being able to select where the grass is discharged to (front or back of the mower). Cutting height it easy to change. I only wish that it would cut the taller blades of grass. It seems like there are always some blades of grass that shoot up faster than others within the week. I have only mowed with it three times but it does cut the grass easily. I haven't had it for long, but its pretty awesome. The blades are sharp and its easy to use. I like that the grass trimmings shoot out the front although it can go the other way if you prefer. After using this thing, now whenever I hear my neighbors using their gas mowers they seem outdated. People stop and ask questions, my mail carrier actually got out of his truck to give it a try. As long as you keep your lawn relatively low, this thing is a breeze to use. I let my bermuda get a little thick and it gave me a slight workout, but well worth it. Oh and check your local store first. I was going to order it online but decided to check the store. A worker told me that I could only buy it online, not 5 seconds after speaking with her did I see one in the garden center and I promptly took it home. If you're on the fence, go for it.
