This X-1000R, one of the nicest we've come across in a long time, received servicing in 2008 and a follow-up in 2020. While we haven't tested the output, VU meters respond to playing material as shown. Always assume a service or adjustment is required on these although transport handling appears correct but you judge. Given its age it is being offered 'as is' with no returns.
The deck itself has excellent cosmetics overall. Minor aberrations on the aluminum face between the reel tables, not easily captured in photos, were observed. The left hand plastic foot has some material missing from it but still supports the machine. The reels and nab hubs shown in the video are for demonstration purposes only and not included in the sale.
As vintage high-end audio specialists, we understand the importance of careful packaging. For secure transit, the feet and reel tables are generally removed.
