Early Model Cortland Crown Small Single Action, Rim Control Fly Reel +

For sale is an Early Model Cortland Crown Small Single Action, Rim Control Fly Reel in Box with Line and Paper. Manufactured in the UK it was one the first of the Crown series of reels sold by Cortland. Probably manufactured by J P Morritt or possibly BFR.. Reel is in excellent used condition with only light surface wear on the rims – see pictures. Mechanically the spool spins smoothly with no wobble and the click is strong and loud. Spooled with Air Cell Supreme DT-6-F line. Box and paper are in excellent condition. Considered an entry level reel, they were well received in the USA and many have proved their durability and are still fished today.
