With the DIGIGEAR System, the gears are digitially engineered for a perfect mesh for optimal speed, power and durability, not to mention smoothness. The Saltist LW also features the ATC (Automatic Tournament Drag) to help you turn a hot fish!

In addition, the Saltist LW has a more ergonomic star drag and aluminum frame, spool and side plate with corrosion-resistant ball bearings (CRBB).

The Saltist LW also has the Infinite Anti-Reverse technology and Spool Click selector switch.

The Daiwa Saltist LW Conventional Reels feature 5 ball bearings (2CRBB+2BB+2RB) for smooth performance and a 6.1:1 or 6.4:1 gear ratio depending on the model. Line per handle turn retrieve rate is 35 or 47.2 inches per rotation while reel weights range from 18.5 to 24 ounces. The series also accommodates impressive line capacities ranging from 12/420 to 40/310 for mono and from 40/260 to 50/630 for Daiwa J-Braid. Max drag runs from 15.4 pounds for size 20 and 30 reels to 20-pounds for size 40 and 50 models.
