BASF LH is a series of Low Noise (Type 2) reel to reel tapes that were manufactured from 1969 to 1986. This is the formulation that made BASF's reputation worldwide as a top reel to reel tape producer. This tape is know for it's excellent quality, with flat frequency response and excellent stability and tape to head contact. Advanced R&D made sure this tape would last a long time, even when stored in adverse conditions. This tape was made in Standard Play SP (SP52-LH), Long Play LP (LP35-LH, Double Play DP (DP26-LH) and Triple Play TP (TP18-LH). This formulation was produced for over 20 years and is known for its high performance and reliability. This is a formula that has withstood the test of time. It is amazing to consider that you can make a high quality recordings on a 40 or 50 year old tape, but this is indeed possible.   What are refurbished tapes?• First, we only select tape formulas for refurbishment that have proven to withstand the test of time and will be reliable.• Tape formula and length are verified to match the box type, so you know what you are getting.• All tapes have been wound, cleaned, and checked to make sure the entire length of the tape is defect free (no folds, bends, tears, splices, stretches, or oxide shedding).• All tapes are bulk erased, if Priority Mail is selected. To comply with the low cost Media Mail rate requirements, tapes will be sold as pre-recorded with the content on them.• All tapes are free of mold, dirt, and water damage and in good condition• Reels are placed in a plastic bag and sealed with a label once it has passed our quality control check.• The package is renewed – the box is either shrink-wrapped, the RR label is affixed to the box, or an insert is placed in the box.
